Xander Barnes North Raleigh, NC – The North Raleigh Arts & Creative Theatre (NRACT) community is deeply saddened by the passing of Xander Barnes, a dedicated and beloved member whose contributions touched the hearts of all who knew him.
Xander grew up at NRACT, where he became a familiar face and an essential part of the theatre’s family. Known for his kindness, sense of humor, and unwavering dedication, Xander brought joy, laughter, and warmth to every rehearsal, performance, and backstage moment.
He was honored as the first recipient of the Elizabeth Grimes-Droessler Volunteer Award, a testament to his countless hours of service and heartfelt commitment to the theatre. His passion for maintaining and improving the space led to the affectionate phrase “Xanderized,” used to describe his unique touch and love for keeping the theatre at its best.
Xander’s legacy at NRACT goes far beyond his volunteer hours—he was a friend, a leader, and a light within the community. His memory will live on through the lives he impacted and the theatre he helped build with so much care and heart.
He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his NRACT family.
